




There are lots of interesting fresh fruits here, and some I love and some are just too intense in flavor for me, like Jaka. But the Guanabana is a refreshing one and we make a beverage out of it by removing the white flesh and blending it with water, lime juice and a little sweetener. If you do a google search on it, there is some fascinating info on cancer research on parts of the plant.

Thank goodness there is a coffee backup here for me when I run out of coffee. I just go over to George's Coffee on the main street for good coffee, lattes, frappacinos, the best mango smoothies in the world, and even a book exchange. With more gringos from Canada and U.S. coming into the area now for the winter, the book selection should get even better.

Victor really enjoys teaching our cleaning lady's son drums and he is also helping him learn English.

In Puerto Vallarta one day we saw this oddlooking truck/SUV/?? which was all silver and very unique.
The fresh fish is available every morning down on the beach, but we wonder about overfishing of some of the types of fish.


Guayabitos is largely a tourist town planned by the government, and on weekends, holidays, and winter the town is full of tourist buses from many parts of Mexico full of families on their beach vacation. Here are a couple of the more colorful ones:
