Fun at the Beach

It is a busy day at the beach as Monday is a national holiday, Dia de Revolucion. Many buses have rolled into town with families from cities inland, and they enjoy the long weekend staying in bungalows and hotels. Playing at the beach is great fun for the families. There are kayaks to rent or take a boat ride to the big island to snorkel or visit other smaller beaches.

Many beach vendors sell delicious food and you can buy your inflatable beach toys, umbrellas, beach mats, hats, jewelry, get a tatoo, have your hair braided, to name a few activities.

Many palapa restaurants line the beach serving good food and beverages. If you forgot your bathing suit, many shops sell them. Many hotels and bungalows are directly on the beach, others are one block and further away. This town is largely filled mostly with lodging, eating establishments and gift shops, sprinkled in with mini markets, plus a disco.
