Pleasant December

The weather is very pleasant now, in the 80's and not humid, thus we don't need to run the fans anymore. The quietness is better than all that background noise. But lately there was a lot of music in the air. The night before the Virgen de Guadalupe holiday (December 12), music was piped over a loudspeaker up on a hill by the cross not far from us, and it played a man singing in a lovely voice for hours and hours. Occasionally a very loud canon went off, and this happened in the early morning hours before we awoke too. Last night there was a big band playing at a resort on the beach and their music was so loud I could not sleep and it went on til at least 1:30 a.m.

This character is at George's Coffee and when the button is pushed his mouth and body moves, and he sings and dances to the music. The bucket is for donations to help needy families.

The photos are of a beautiful morning in Guayabitos walking and in La Penita.

It is a week later nearly, and now we look at some Guayabitos scenes. The sky was so different this late afternoon when Luke went boogie boarding. I love those clouds.

The other evening after walking the beach we stopped for shrimp burgers which were really good. Here is some of the art hanging in the little cafe.

On our way home from eating we saw this funny fountain in front of a hotel, and one of the shopowners pushing the little girl in a unique way.
