Centros Quiropracticos y Bienestar Aliados

That is, Allied Chiropractic and Good Health Centers is now open for business. At long last, the new "consultorio" (as doctor's offices in Mexico are called), is finished. The process began in June when the space was finally found after much time spent searching, for it had to be visible, not hidden on some little side street. It had to be accessible for people traveling by bus, which is very common here. The space is on the highway and couldn't be a better location. Much work was necessary before it would be open for business. Two walls were constructed, a glass window and door installed, air conditioning, large shelving was built, much cleaning was needed, walls and ceiling painted a fresh very pale yellow/cream, and furniture bought. Many trips to Puerto Vallarta for supplies were made, and the electric company had to rewire for new voltage. Advertising, business cards and letters to the local doctors handed out to familiarize them with the new doctor in town. Throw in to the picture a 3 week trip to the States by Linda and 11 day trip for Victor in the midst of all this work. Now nearly all is completed, except for a big sign to be made for the top of the building so the people in cars, trucks, and buses going by will notice the new business.

Those are our friends Ulysses and Francisco from Tepic, who opened new computer shop in town. They made the sign for the front of the building. Jeanie has a real estate business in town across the street from the Consultorio.

In August the first patients were s
een in the new consultorio and the word is spreading, even without much advertising. Come November when the gringos return to their Paradise, there will be even more business. Conveniently, the new business is a short walk from the house to work.

Many stores in town have a "cortina" or metal curtain door that slides down and is padlocked at the bottom. With the hot and humid rainy season here, air conditioning is a must, so to keep mosquitoes and heat and rain out the front wall had to be constructed.New front wall constructed, tiled and new door installed
Hand made sign in window before the new sign hung

Decorating wasn't too challenging, considering consultorios in town are pretty basic around here, for dentists and doctors in general. We had some bird photos shot in a local estero near where we lived a couple years ago, already framed, so they found a new home on the walls here. A couple of nice plants and a new wood table for the reception room wrapped it up.

New wall was built

That is a little fridge in the water dispenser for the doctor's lunch

New shelving in the treatment room

Sign is mostly in Spanish

Victor and Linda, the new office looks terrific and represents so much work. You are ready for the onslaught of fall visitors and we wish you the very best in your new establishment.
